Irina Mochalova,
Founder

PARTA has its beginnings in 1991 when its Director Irina Mochalova was instrumental in arranging one of the first U.S./Russia high school student exchange after the break-up of the Soviet Union. She was and still is the Director of the International Contact Centre (ICC).

Since that time, we have sent more than 700 students to the United States and an equal number to France, Spain, Germany, Malta, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and Portugal. We have established relationships with reliable partners in each of these countries and work closely with them to create and monitor our programs.

Our organization was initially called "Polytek" but in 1997 we decided to change our name to PARTA (Russian word for a "school desk") to reflect our educational emphasis more clearly.

We are independent organization, registered under No.25852 in the Foreign Ministry of Russia, and we are licensed in the Moscow License Chamber under No. 17150.
